ALEXANDRA ZHUKOVA
Alexandra Zhukova is a Paris-based fashion brand established in 2024 by Russian-born designer Alexandra Zhukova. The label approaches fashion as a fine art canvas, exploring clothing through construction, emotional narrative, and silhouette experimentation. With a foundational background in fine arts honed at NYU (New York University) and SAIC (School of the Art Institute of Chicago), and later at the Paris College of Art, Zhukova found her true artistic language through creative patternmaking, using garment construction to bring a self-contained fantasy world to life.
Alexandra's work explores the subtle expression of emotion and fantasy into daily life, where innocent, personal, and playful details emerge through practical garment construction. Its aesthetic is heavily informed by memory as a creative tool to navigate the turbulent transition into adulthood, drawing from the magical realism of Mikhail Bulgakov’s The Master and Margarita and childhood Soviet cartoons. Collections often begin with these literary references, symbolic systems, or emotional states, which are translated into garments through proportion, texture, layering, and movement.
Her collections are designed to feature highly functional and easy-to-match pieces that construct a new lifestyle. Exquisite craftsmanship is at the heart of this process. Through experimental styling and creative patternmaking techniques, the brand allows each piece with a unique personality and emotional depth, while maintaining functionality and practicality.
